Emotivity of an Event in a Literary Text: Linguistic Mechanisms of Implementation
The article analyzes the emotiveness of an event in a literary text, realized with the help of linguistic mechanisms. Based on the material of A.P. Chekhov’s story «The Black Monk», it is proven that in a fiction text it is emotiveness that determines the eventfulness that forms the spatio-temporal continuum of the literary text. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the communicative-pragmatic status of emotion in the formation and implementation of eventfulness in a literary text. The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific methods of observation, comparison and comparison, deduction and induction, and on the methodological tools of linguistics in terms of linguistic modeling methods, pragmatic and semantic analysis, linguistic analysis of text and philological interpretation.
